Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask before ordering, in one place. If your question is not here, the fitment finder covers sizing and our contact page reaches a human.
Measure the black glass panel diagonally, corner to corner — not the plastic surround. Manufacturers fit different displays across trims of the same model, so a Kia Sonet, Maruti Baleno or Toyota Glanza can have either of two sizes depending on the variant you bought. Our fitment finder lists every display we cut for your model, so you pick the measurement rather than guessing from the badge.
No. The film is thin enough that the capacitive layer under the glass responds exactly as before. Taps, swipes, pinch-zoom on maps, split-screen and both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto behave identically to an unprotected display.
Tempered glass is rigid, and factory car displays are often curved. A car cabin also cycles through far wider temperature extremes and constant road vibration compared to a pocket. Rigid glass on a curved automotive panel tends to lift at the edges, trap dust underneath and chip at the corners — and if it breaks, it breaks inside the cabin. Every Protecterr cut is 9H hard-coated PET film instead: it bends rather than chipping, has no thick raised edge, and the hard coat takes the keys, rings and long nails that actually scratch car screens.
No. At 99.9% light transmission the display looks unchanged. The top coat is anti-fingerprint rather than mirror-finish, so you are not adding a reflective layer between you and the screen.
Most owners fit it in under 2 minutes. No fitter, no heat gun, no tools beyond what is in the box: protecterr screen protector, wet wipe, dry wipe, dust sticker, squeegee, installation guide. Park in shade, let the dashboard cool, clean, de-dust, align and squeegee.
Small air bubbles push out with the squeegee card and any that remain usually clear themselves within 24 hours as the silicone adhesive settles. A bubble that will not move has a dust speck under it — lift that corner, lift the speck with the dust-absorber sticker, and lay the film back down. The adhesive tolerates repositioning.
Yes. The silicone adhesive peels away cleanly and leaves no residue on the display. That is the entire principle of a sacrificial layer — it takes the wear so the factory panel underneath does not.
No. Each cut is mapped to that specific dashboard, including the cut-outs around physical controls, ambient-light sensors and any surrounding trim. It is also why we list a separate product for each display size a model is sold with, rather than one "fits the Creta" sheet you would have to trim yourself.

₹299 across the whole range, against an MRP of ₹1,299 — the same whether your display is 7 inches or 10.25. Amazon frequently sells below our list price, and their price is the one you pay.
Yes. We cut for common aftermarket sizes including 9-inch and 10-inch Android car stereos and the Diamond 2K 10.1-inch panel. Aftermarket units typically use softer touch panels than OEM glass, so they scratch faster and benefit more from protection.
Get in touch with your car, variant, model year and a photo of the display with a measuring tape across the diagonal. We add models continuously and prioritise by how often they are requested.
